Description
Homeschool Spanish Academy offers virtual, one-on-one lessons with skilled native speakers based in Guatemala. Students follow a structured progression that emphasizes conversational fluency, while covering vocabulary and grammar.
Lessons are 25 minutes long for elementary school, and 50 minutes long for middle and high school. Two lessons per week are recommended, but the schedule is flexible. Siblings can take combined lessons if they are within three grades of each other.
Regular conversation practice with a native speaker is essential to learning a foreign language. At the same time, a structured curriculum is necessary for learning grammar. Homeschool Spanish Academy provides both at a remarkably affordable price.
We recommend starting biweekly Spanish lessons in second grade or earlier, and continuing at least through fifth grade. Homeschool Spanish Academy can serve as your child's only Spanish curriculum in elementary school, as the emphasis at this age is on speaking and listening skills. It can optionally be continued through middle and high school alongside a more formal book-based curriculum.
