Capstone Project
Description
The capstone project is a research or creative project in any subject or field that is of special interest to you.
The first part consists of either a tangible project or a course of research in your chosen field. For example, you may choose to complete an art project, a sports or dance performance, a scientific experiment, a historical research paper, a volunteering project, or a literary analysis.
Next, complete a final paper about your chosen project, using the Schaum's Quick Guide to Writing Great Research Papers (www.greatbookshomeschool.com/book/schaums-quick-guide-to-writing-great-research-papers) assigned in eleventh grade as a guide.
Your paper should be ten to twenty pages long, not including citations.
Tangible projects that require a great deal of time outside of the final paper can be closer to ten pages, while research projects and persuasive papers should be closer to twenty pages.
The capstone project should be worked on over the course of a full academic semester, and you should manage your time to ensure that the paper is completed by the end of semester "deadline."
