The Writing with Skill series is a continuation of the Writing with Ease series for elementary grades, and teaches expository writing for middle and high school students. The practice lessons are based on selections from great books and are thorough without being overly time-consuming.
Each book provides a daily lesson for four days per week over the course of an eight-month academic year. However, we suggest completing two lessons per week in order to allow ample time to focus on this and other coursework. At this pace, you can plan to finish the first half of this book in ninth grade, and the second half in tenth grade.
