About

The Cartoon History series presents the major episodes in world history as a funny and well-drawn graphic novel. This is the last of five books, and covers the French Revolution to the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The cartoon format provides a refreshing change from the extensive text reading required elsewhere in the curriculum, while providing a similar level of detail as more traditional world history textbooks.

Note that since these books lack traditional text headings and include a lot of material, they work best for students who are already familiar with the broad outline of world history. If you have never studied world history before, you may instead choose to review the Story of the World series included in earlier grades.
