About
We like to read Harry Potter books during Halloween season. This is the third book in the series.
The illustrated editions are works of art and well worth the additional cost. These days many libraries carry the illustrated versions as well.
Books one through three are appropriate for any age. Starting with book four (The Goblet of Fire), the books begin to include darker elements that may be frightening for younger children. The Common Sense Media age-based guide to the Harry Potter series (www.commonsensemedia.org/articles/harry-potter-age-by-age-guide) is helpful in deciding when to introduce each book.
