A balanced, well-written ten-volume series covering American history thoroughly at a middle-school level. We recommend also purchasing the test booklets (available at amzn.to/3UOUdxD) and using them in conjunction with the readings.

Each volume contains about 40 short chapters. We suggest reading four chapters per week in this course, for about nine months each year. At this pace, you will be able to start the series at the beginning of sixth grade, and finish at the end of eighth grade.

For United States History 3, aim to complete volumes 7 through 10.
